April 4th brought the return of skateboarding and art legend Andy Howell back to his home town for the release of his new book, "Art Skateboarding & Life," a 304 page hardcover book including interviews and Contributors with over 40 of the most influential artists and sport icons of the culture including: Tony Hawk, Shepard Fairey, Patricia Arquette, Dallas Austin, Ed Templeton, Natas Kaupas, Tommy Guerrero, Chris Miller, Dave Kinsey, Sal Barbier, Damon Way, Paul Schmitt, and many more!!

Andy personally signed and numbered each special edition hardcover, and took the time to add personal touches (as in two page drawings) to those who came out that night in show of their support. Later on in the evening, in what initially started out as a book signing quickly transfomed into a impromptu live art show! With Andy letting loose on the walls of the shop in a no-holds-bard freestyle paint off. You had to be there to feel the charged energy that the crowd was giving off.
