I For An Eye
On Saturday October 8th, 2005, Commonwealth proudly presented "I For An Eye", a first time collaborative exhibition of photographs and screen prints by Eric Coleman and Cody Hudson.

LA born artist, Eric Coleman, began taking pictures at the age of twelve. After attending The Royal College of Art; the quest for his own photographic vision began. While on this quest, he went on to form Mochilla with fellow photographer B+. Mochilla is a production company that has produced several films, music videos and albums. Coleman recently exhibited work at the Blue Chips gallery and Transport gallery in Los Angeles. He continues to photograph for apparel manufacturers; Elwood, Glyard Mfg, and Live Mechanics as well s publications The Fader, In Style and record companies Stonesthrow, and Sound in Color.

Cody Hudson, who works under the name Struggle Inc., is a Chicago based commercial artist and painter. Struggle Inc.'s design aesthetic could be best characterized as a sort of urban modernism. His paintings have been exhibited throughout the US and Japan. Along with producing work for a range of clients including Stussy, Burton, and Chocolate Industries, Hudson was responsible for the art direction and design and layout of the newly released book AKA: Also Known As. In his spare time he produces a small tee shirt line called Headlock. He enjoys ice fishing, sleeping, reading and things made of wood.

I For An Eye will mark eric Coleman and Cody Hudson's first artistic collaboration together. Art reception; Saturday Oct 8th, 2005 @ Commonwealth 727 W 21st Street, Norfolk Va 23517.
