Commonwealth® is proud to present our first show of the year; "ST DREAMS" New and published works by Atiba Jefferson. Skateboarding. Basketball. Hip Hop. All share a commonality in achieving a goal. The Youth have openly embraced these three avenues to advance in their journey from the street to the elite.

As a young avid, up-and-coming photographer, Atiba began taking photographs of his friends skating where he lived, in downtown Colorado Springs.Impressing the most illustrious photo editor in skateboarding, Grant Brittain, his shots eventually landed him a job, and ultimately launched his career. His culmination of work has given him respect and elevated his status to one of the most influential skateboarding photographers worldwide. He has gone on to be a founder of The Skateboard Mag°, one of the most sought-after publications in the skateboard world.

Along side a who's who list of skateboarding including Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, and Jamie Thomas, Atiba has also been capturing the greatness of basketball's goliaths, from the NBA's Shaquille O'neal, Allen Iverson and Kevin Garnett to the streets' Hot Sauce and Escalade.

Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to shoot for The Skateboard Mag°, and SLAM, while shooting the icons of Hip Hop like Kanye West, and The Game for XXL.

The exhibition opens February 4, 2005 and runs through February 25, 2005. An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 4, from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
